Dental Implants
A dental implant is a device designed to permanently replace missing teeth. It is very similar (but stronger) to your natural teeth in feel and function.
During this process your natural teeth are not disturbed (as for a fixed bridge). A special "screw" (the implant) is placed in the bone with 3 - 5 mm protruding above the gum, and a porcelain crown is placed on top. A series of appointments is required, and fees range from $5,000 - $7,000.00.
Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding with a surgical or invasive procedure, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
